NEP / Coronavirus (Covid-19)

NEP continues to monitor the situation caused by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and keeps the health and safety of both our customers and our employees at the forefront. We continue to follow the guidelines and recommendations set forth by federal, state and local agencies that outline practices that will assist us in combatting the spread of the coronavirus. The North-Eastern Pennsylvania Telephone Company (NEP) remains committed to providing our customers with quality telecommunication services at affordable prices.

In our effort to limit exposure between NEP employees and customers, we are taking the following steps effective immediately:

  • We will continue to perform installations, priority repair work and upgrades to existing service, but limit non-emergency repair work or non-essential equipment or technology upgrades.
  • In situations where our technicians must enter a customer’s home or business, we will make every attempt to ensure that our technicians are feeling well and not exhibiting signs of an illness. Likewise, we will ask our customers to do the same. We will ask you to ensure that everyone in your home is not ill before we schedule any in-home installation or repair activity. If someone in your home is ill, we will make a request to re-schedule your appointment.
  • We have temporarily closed the lobby access to our office and request any in-person payments be placed in the outside collection box. Payments can also be made online by visiting www.nep.net or by calling our office.
