DataVision & DataStream Down for Maintenance

On Tuesday December 6th, from 12:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. NEP DataVision and DataStream will have a scheduled maintenance outage.

Local channels will not be affected. Premium channels will be unavailable during this time period.

The “Switch” Switch

UPDATE 10/07/2011: New APN Settings are Available for Android Customers please visit http://www.nep.net/index.php/wireless/the-switch for instructions and settings.


UPDATE 10/03/2011: We have resolved most if not all Long Distance and Roaming issues.  If you are experiencing call connection issues please contact wireless customer support at 1.866.785.3116. 
We are currently working on updating the MMS and Picture messaging.  Once all issues are resolved we will send out OTA updates to all the phones that we can.  Others may have to manually update there APN and MMS settings.  We will post the final updated setting as soon as they are available.

UPDATE 9/30/2011:We are experiencing issues with long distance and text / picture messaging for customers outside the NEP service area roaming on our partners extended networks.  Not everyone is affect by these disruptions; we are working closely with our roaming partner's engineers to find the cause and correct the few remaining issues.  If you are experiencing call connection issues please contact wireless customer support at 1.866.785.3116. 

UPDATE 9/29/2011: We are entering into the final stages of the Switch Migration.  Tonight the towers will be receiving a software upgrade.  We believe this will further improve coverage, data speeds and call quality. 

Most, if not all, connection issues have been resolved.  If you are still having issues please contact wireless customer support at 1.866.785.3116. 

UPDATE 9/27/2011: Nep has made changes on our Wireless Network. We have had various issues since the "Switch" took place with all of our wireless services. As of early Saturday 9/24/2011 most of our services have been restored. We are still experiencing issues with connecting calls to other roaming subscribers. We have been working hard at getting our services back to normal. We will continue to work all of the issues until we have them corrected. UPDATE 9/22/2011: There are new APN settings available for manual updates.  Customers with Data & Internet usage on their plans are encouraged to visit http://www.nep.net/index.php/wireless/the-switch for the updated APN settings.  Text and Picture messaging APN information will be available soon.

UPDATE 9/21/2011: We are still working on several Switch Over Issues.  We Thank You for your patience in this matter.  If you're currently having troubles please power down and reboot your phone.  If that doesn't correct the issue please try again later.  Again we thank you for your patience and understanding.  Please continue to watch this space for further details.

UPDATE 9/19/2011:  We are working to improve services for our customers and many changes will be taking place Tuesday September 20th starting at 11:00PM. Services should be restored by 6:00AM on Wednesday September 21st. Please power down your phones and reboot them on Wednesday morning. Voice mail services will also be affected, so please check your voice mail by 11:00PM EST. We are unable to migrate your current messages to the new Voice Mail Platform. You will be required to setup your Voice Mail once you login for the first time.  MMS and DATA services will be updated as well and new setting need to be updated within your phones. We are working on getting the settings sent to each subscriber’s phone. If you get a message please install the update. Android users will need to go to http://www.nep.net/index.php/wireless/the-switch and will need to manually update your phones. Thank you and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause for you, but this is all in effort to providing better service for our customers.

NEP Wireless will be performing upgrades to our network the week of September 19th 2011. 

Services may be affected from 11:00PM thru 5:00AM EST during this week.

We will be making changes on how our customers interact with the rest of the world. We hope this brings better reliability and performance for all of our customers.

What will be Affected:
Data (Internet) and MMS (Texting)
During the week customers who use our Data network and MMS services will have to get new settings for their phones. Once the new settings are in place you should be able to send pictures and connect to the internet.  Many of our customers will receive Over the Air updates to their phones allowing a seamless transition.

Some cell phones, including all Android phones, will need to updated manually.  In the coming days we will be updating the website with information on updating your settings manually.  We will also be able to update your phones at any retail location.

Voice Mail:
Our Voice Mail service will also be affected by this. We are migrating to a new Voice Mail system as well, and it does bring a burden for our customers. Messages that are on our current VM system will be lost and each customer will have to setup their VM account againThe first time a customer dials into the new VM system you will be walked thru a setup menu. This will setup your new voicemail and all should be back to normal again.
