Caller ID Features

* Calling Number

When using this feature, a caller's number appears on your phone's Caller I.D. screen. You can choose whether to answer the phone or not. The function works automatically; there are no extra steps involved in using Calling Number.

When you subscribe to Calling Number, you must select one of the following two options: Per-Call Blocking or Per-Line Blocking.

* Per-Call Blocking

Under this option your phone number will automatically appear on the Caller I.D. screen of the party you are calling each time you place a call. You may temporarily block your number on any individual call.

* Per-Line Blocking

Under this option, your phone number is automatically blocked from appearing on the Caller I.D. screen of the party you are calling. You may temporarily unblock the number, allowing it to appear on-screen.

Custom Local Area Signaling Services (CLASS)

* Automatic Callback

Getting a busy signal? Automatic Callback will automatically redial a busy number for up to 30 minutes. A distinctive ring alerts you that your call is connected.

* Auto Recall

Calls back the last person who tried to reach you.

* Selective Call Forwarding

Create a list of up to 32 telephone numbers of callers you don't want to miss and Selective Call Forwarding will re-route just those calls you've chosen to the forwarding number you designate.

* Selective Call Rejection

Selective Call Rejection lets you choose up to 32 phone numbers whose calls you want to refuse. Callers on that list hear a recording stating that your number is not accepting calls at this time.

* Selective Call Acceptance

Selective Call Acceptance lets you decide which calls are important enough to spend your time on. Build your own list of up to 32 numbers from which you will accept calls; all other callers hear a recording stating that your number is not accepting calls at this time. It's a handy feature during times when only your most important callers are welcome.

* Distinctive Ringing

Give your most important calls something special: a distinctive ring that tells you it's a call you don't want to miss! Distinctive Ringing makes it possible. There's even a special call-waiting tone for your important calls that arrive while you're on the line with another call.

* Call Trace

This feature traces the number of the last call received and stores that information at the phone company.

NOTE: You will not receive the traced number. This information may be released only to law enforcement agencies. Contact your local NEP Telephone Co. business office for more information.

Custom Calling Service Features

* Call Waiting

Call Waiting lets you receive incoming calls even while you are on the line. A beep tone notifies you that another caller is trying to reach you. You can then answer the second call if you choose. Call Waiting gives you the option of switching between calls as often as you need. No more missed calls because of a busy line!

* Call Forwarding/All Calls

Call Forwarding/All Calls automatically transfers your incoming calls to another phone of your choice. Now, you don't have to miss important calls when you're away from your phone.

* Call Forwarding/Busy

Call Forwarding/Busy comes in handy on those occasions when you need to use your phone but don't want to miss an important incoming call. Call Forwarding/Busy forwards those incoming calls to another phone of your choice whenever your line is busy.

* Call Forwarding/No Answer

Now you can forward those incoming calls that would otherwise go unanswered when no one is available to pick up the phone. Call Forwarding/No Answer is the solution You can even choose how many times your phone rings before the call is forwarded.

* Call Forwarding Remote Access

Call Forwarding Remote Access allows you to change the Call Forwarding telephone number from another location. You can continuously move your phone calls to wherever you are - no matter how many places you're going to be!

* Remote Call Forwarding

This feature allows callers to access you from outside the local calling area by using a non-toll telephone number. Remote Call Forwarding is especially handy for businesses that want to establish a presence in an area away from their physical location, offering prospective customers calling access through the customer's own local phone service.

* Remote Call Forwarding to a Local Directory Number

Changed locations? You'll need all those calls forwarded from your old number to the new number. This service ensures that all calls to the old number are automatically re-routed to the new location.

* Three-Way Calling

Add a third caller to your existing two-person conversation with Three -Way Calling.

* Call Transfer

The Call Transfer feature allows you to transfer a caller to someone at another phone quickly and easily. (NOTE: This feature requires the Three-Way Calling feature listed above.)

* Speed Calling

Speed Calling lets you assign a one- or two-digit code to your most frequently called numbers. Do away with all that extra dialing! And you can change your list of favorite numbers anytime. (You can store up to 30 phone numbers with two-digit codes, or 8 phone numbers if you use one-digit codes.)

* Ring Again

When the line you're trying to reach is busy...turn to Ring Again. It automatically redials the last call you dialed - and keeps trying for up to 30 minutes. A special ring lets you know your call is ready to go through. (Applies to calls in the same exchange only.)

* Teen Service

Teen Service allows a single telephone line to share two phone numbers. Each line has a distinctive ring so you know who the call is for. 

* Voicemail: Hang up on "Phone Tag."

Does the game of "phone tag" prevent you from getting important work accomplished? Wouldn't it be nice to reach that person who always seems to be unreachable? And wouldn't you like to get all those important messages you need from others, as well? Your solution could be Voicemail!

It's a great no-hassle way to be sure your message will get to the person you need, even if they're not available when you are. Voicemail eliminates the need to remember to "try again" allowing you to move on to other important matters. And there's no need for you to miss important messages either, since incoming messages are saved until you're ready to hear them.

* Home Intercom

You can talk with someone in another part of your house, or in the garage. workshed, barn - any place you have an additional phone.

* Warm Line

Our Warm Line feature lets you choose a telephone number that will automatically ring if your telephone is off the hook for more than 30 seconds with no call being placed. This feature can help you be sure your phone is available. It can also be used to dispatch help for an elderly or infirmed individual.

* Automatic Line

The Automatic Line feature serves as an emergency signal. Merely lifting the phone off the hook places an emergency call to a phone number of your choice. Because this phone can be used only for emergency notification, utilizing this feature requires the installation of a second telephone line.
